‎ اتفاق توأمة بين بلدية بيت مري ومدينة نياجارا فولز – نيويورك

‎في 21 تشرين الأول 2025، وقّعت بلدية بيت مري ممثّلةً برئيس المجلس البلدي الأستاذ روي أبو شديد ونائب الرئيس الدكتور سامي مخيبراتفاق توأمة مع مدينة نياجارا فولز في ولاية نيويورك، وذلك خلال زيارة رسمية إلى المدينة.
‎يشكّل هذا الاتفاق خطوة نوعية نحو توثيق التعاون وتبادل الخبرات والثقافات بين المدينتين، ويُترجم قيماً مشتركة تتمحور حول الصداقة، والانفتاح، والتقدم المشترك.
وقد تم غرس شجرة أرز أمام مبنى بلدية نياجارا فولز، ليس فقط كرمز، بل كعهد على هذا التعاون.”فلتنمُ هذه الأرزّة جذورًا عميقة كما تنمو صداقتنا، ولتظلّ شاهدة على أن المدن، رغم المسافات والتواريخ، قادرة على البناء معًا.”
تتوجّه بلدية بيت مري بالشكر إلى رئيس بلدية نياجارا فولز روبرت ريستاينو، وإلى أعضاء المجلس البلدي والجالية اللبنانية في المدينة على حفاوة الاستقبال وعلى فتح صفحة جديدة من الشراكة.

Beit Mery Signs Sister City Agreement with Niagara Falls, NY
On October 21, 2025, Beit Mery Municipality, represented by President of the Municipal Council Mr. Roy Abou Chedid and Vice President Dr. Sami Moukheiber, signed a historic Sister City agreement with the City of Niagara Falls, New York during an official visit to the city.
This agreement marks a new chapter of collaboration, cultural exchange, and shared values between our two communities — rooted in friendship, mutual respect, and a vision for future generations.
A cedar tree was planted in front of Niagara Falls’ City Hall — not just as a symbol, but as a promise. “May the cedar we plant grow deep roots, as our friendship does; and may it stand as a living testament that across oceans and histories, cities can choose to build together.”
Beit Mery Municipality extends heartfelt thanks to Mayor Robert Restaino, the City Council, and the Lebanese community of Niagara Falls for their warm welcome and commitment to this partnership.
